Stockcheck & Stocktake UK, are two of the most recognised and trusted names in licensed trade stocktaking. Stockcheck, was founded in the earlier 1980's by John Gilpin, a respected member of the prominent Hotelier and Catering Gilpin family in Leeds, and Stocktake UK arrived in the 1990's, with founder and current owner, Stephen Grantham, purchasing Stockcheck in 2004.
We have maintained the presence of both brands, as it affords us a competitive advantage in the market place, and both brands are highly regarded by their customers. Additionally, there are also subtle, but significant, variations in the Franchise offering.

To start with, it's easier to say what it isn't! and that is stocktakers are NOT just bottle counters. Our franchisees are experienced professionals offering detailed and expert consultancy advice on how to improve a business's profitability through improved stock control.
Through audits of the business's stock holding and movements, our stocktaker will be able to advise on stock rotation, wastage, pricing, stock holding, anticipated usage, promotions and allowances and much more. This is why our franchisees must have good operational experience, as they will be calling on this every day to help each client in unique ways.

Once, you understand that by using an External Stocktaker, you are bringing into your business an elite professional, who specialises in improving stock control and profitability, it is easy to see that you're bringing a unique set of skills into the business, that cannot be easily replicated.
